I have two cats at the moment both of them were abandoned as babies one of them We found in a car engine trying to get warm and the other one was left by his mother for multiple days (we still fed him, but we left him there in case his mom came, but she never did), and my family has helped multiple cats and dogs from the road to get back to health in the past, and the thought of getting a cat and your first thought not being to get it to the vet immediately is crazy to me not a single time to get her vaccinated to check her up anything you get a cat from the road, you get a cat from the shelter sh¡t even from a breeder The first thing you do is get her to the f@cking vet. Also what do you mean the cat has got a cold that sounds crazy to me multiple times as well?? if my cat started losing weight and looked like that from the moment I got her I would think that says got some severe illness or got some type of problem The fact that she was “advised otherwise” is still not a f@cking excuse either being a first time owner. You can look at the cat and see that she is not okay anyone can see that I’m really sorry if I come off as mean, but I seriously have a problem with people neglecting their animals I just cannot stand it

It's my experience that animal control won't take pets away from owners unless they see an animal is not being provided shelter & food and in the case of cruelty, they must witness it first hand. A dog on our block was literally beaten to death despite neighbors calling animal control many, many times. After that, somehow, every animal those people got to replace the dog, disappeared within a day or two. Not saying it was right, but none of the neighbors spoke up when the abusive owner had the police investigate.❤

I'm not a part of the latter, so I wouldn't know what their lived experiences are like because I haven't been through it, but what I do know is that they are more likely to be profiled for a crime and stereotyped.
